We usually download songs from various websites and may not be aware of downloading the same song once again on our computer. Duplicate or similar files are in most cases redundant and unnecessary, so keeping them is merely a waste of valuable hard disk space.
Is your hard drive full of extra copies of audio files waiting to be removed ? Then all you need is Similarity tool.
Similarity will help you reclaim your valuable disk space and organize your music collection. Similarity is a free tool which helps you to find music files which have similar music tags or file content. It not only scans the music file based on the music tag or file content, It actually scans the file based on the similar sound content. You can also adjust the sensitivity of searching criteria to find exact or similar files.
How does it find the similar music files ? What is the technology behind it ?
Similarity tool finds the duplicate music files using the sound content comparison. Then what is File content comparison ?
File content (Byte to Byte comparison), comparison that made bit by bit, two files identical if all bits in them are identical. This method of comparison useless in music duplicates finding, because, usually, duplicates have different sample rate, different bit rate or information tags, ie. different characteristics (which incompatible with byte to byte comparison).
Sound content comparison (which uses Similarity) is different, first sound decoded to raw sound waves and after used in different mathematical calculations to get unique sound estimation (hash). What estimation used in comparison with other sound estimations. This method of comparison give much better results than simple byte to byte comparison or tag comparison.
Features of Similarity tool :
1. Support lossy formats: MP3, MP2, OGG, WMA, ASF, FLAC, APE, WF, WMA.
2. Tag editor and tag, file renaming tool.
3. Very fast sound content scanning. (approx 100 songs in 30 secs)
4. Three powerful comparing algorithms (content based, tags based and experimental).
5. Works with removable media devices like USB, etc.
6. Functionality of scanning multiple folders or disks.

Posted by SoMeOnE at 11:12 PM Labels: Bookmarks, My Life Forever, Swine Flu
Swine Flu death toll rises to 14 in India (dated 12th August '09). As an Indian, Its more important to spread the general awareness about the swine flu. What is Swine flu?, How it is spread?, What are the symptoms?, How to prevent getting it?, Can it be treated?. I hope this post would be very useful to all of us and Guide us against Swine Flu.
Swine Flu virus also called H1N1 started in Humans from Mexico in April 2009. In such a short duration flu has affected people at global level and has triggered World Health Organization (WHO) to declare public health emergency. To Know More about Swine Flue - Read here.
Why it is called Swine Flu ?
Laboratory testing showed that many of the genes in this new H1N1 Virus were very similar to influenza viruses that normally occur in pigs in North America and It can spread from one people to another people and causing illness in people.
How it is Spread ?
Influenza is mainly passed from person to person through droplet transmission. This occurs when a sick person coughs or sneezes contaminated droplets into the air, and a healthy person either inhales them or gets them on their hands and then later transfers them to their mouth, nose or eyes.
What are the Symptoms ?

Can it be Treated ?
The US authorities say that 2 drugs commonly used to treat flu, Tamiflu and Relenza, seem to be effective at treating cases that have occurred there so far. However, the drug must be administered at an early stage to be effective. Use of these drugs may also make it less likely that effected people will pass the virus onto others. The US scientists are already developing a bespoke new vaccine, but it may take some time to perfect it, and manufacture enough supplies to meet what could be huge demand. Furthermore, these vaccines might have hazardous side effects.
Can I still eat and prepare pork?
Yes, you can eat pork and pork products which is properly handled and cooked. When anything is cooked at high temp, virus / bacteria die.
How can I prevent the spread of influenza virus at my home?
You can prevent the spread of influenza virus by keeping surfaces (especially bedside tables, surfaces in the bathroom, kitchen counters and toys for children) clean by wiping them down with disinfectant.
6 Ways to Increase Your Immunity From Swine Flu :-
1) Taking good care of your health can reduce or eliminate your risk of contracting the flu. The key is to keep your immune system strong by following these simple guidelines.
2) Lose Weight: New data has suggested that obesity, especially extreme obesity (BMI over 40), raises swine flu victims' chance of dying. The study, published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, looked at the cases of swine flu patients at a Michigan hospital, all of whom had to be placed on ventilators due to the severity of their illness. Being overweight reduces your immunity and therefore chances of contraction increases while recovery too becomes difficult.
3) Exercise: Blood circulation is required for your immune system to perform at its best for you. Spend 20-30 minutes daily by raising your heart beat to 130 beats per minute. Any form of exercise - running, weight training, playing sports like squash, tennis help.
4) Eliminate Sugar From your Diet: Apart from a number of health problems like cancer, sugar is also responsible for faster aging and reducing your immunity against diseases. Avoid all forms of white sugar starting today.
5) Stop Junk Food: Similar to Sugar, junk food has an immediate, weakening effect on your immune system.
6) Get Plenty of Sleep: Too little sleep may reduce levels of leptin, possibly causing people to gain weight, develop diabetes, and weaken your immune system. Getting around 7 hours of qood quality sleep is sufficient. Note that excessive sleeping too is dangerous to your health.
Relax: If you feel overwhelmed by stress, your body will not have the reserves it needs to fight infection. Long-term stress causes excessive wear on the body and activates a deterioration of the immune system.
Important Fact
Consult Gov hospital only, none of the private hospital got the medecine.
Q. Is it curable ?

Reverse your Image Search using TinEye
Posted by SoMeOnE at 9:38 AM Labels: Computers, Firefox, Google, Tech, WebsitesNormally we tend to search images and the result is the search engine searches in the database and displays the images that are related to that search term entered by the user. but this TinEye (reverse image search engine) on the otherhand starts with a image and can find out where an image came from. It allows you to search for images that are visually similar to an image you submit to TinEye.
TinEye is a reverse image search engine. You can submit an image to TinEye to find out where it came from, how it is being used, if modified versions of the image exist, or to find higher resolution versions. TinEye is the first image search engine on the web to use image identification technology rather than keywords, metadata or watermarks. This is useful if you have an image, but you don't remember what it depicts or if you want to find a higher-quality version of an image.
You can upload images to TinEye in two ways. 1) From your local computer 2) You can give url of an image or to point it to a website. Pointing it to a website will retrieve all images located on that website giving the user the choice to select any of them. After uploading the images the TinEye will display the number of related images that it found in its database which is currently containing 1.04 billion entries.
All you need to do is upload an image and it craws it's index seeking a near match and presents it. It's in beta and has about a billion images. It even detects images that are slightly modified.
Why it is useful ?
1. You can find out the image where it originally came from.
2. If you want to find a higher resolutions of the same image.
3. If you like to check if the images or photos are used on other websites.
4. It can find partial matches, including images that have been resized or edited, it cannot locate similar images based on subject matter.
Just go to TinEye Cool Searches page - Here. You can find the real power of this reverse search engine.
Good Example - Click here
How does it work ?
When you submit an image to be searched, TinEye creates a unique and compact digital signature or 'fingerprint' for it, then compares this fingerprint to every other image in our index to retrieve matches.
There are also browser plugins for Firefox and Internet Explorer which allow a simple right-click to quickly and easily launch a "Search Image on TinEye" option.
For Firefox you have the Addon - TinEye Reverse Image Search 0.6
Download - TinEye Firefox Add-on
Same like TinEye Google has Similar images search at Google Labs. It allows you to search for images using pictures rather than words. Have a look here - Google Similar Images Search

Free One Year License with Uniblue DiskRescue 2009 - Best Defragmenting Tool
Posted by SoMeOnE at 8:43 AM Labels: Free stuff, Internet, Security, WindowsTo know something about Defragmentation you can go here. Why we need to Defrag the hard disk ? How does it improve performance of the system ? How does defragging increase disk space ? All are answered below. Don't forget to read.
Why we need to defrag the hard disk ?
To improve performance and recover lost disk space defragging is important for a pc. Its keeps all the data in easy readable format. if you don't defrag your hard disk it begans to lose performance and slowly reduce the capacity of data. You will be aware if your hard disk is running slowly then this will affect the performance of the system. especially in games when frame rate is important.
How does it improve performance ?
When you defrag your hard disk you re-arrange the order in which the data is stored on the drive. The obvious question here is why doesn't the PC store the data in the correct way in the first place? In an ideal situation (such as a blank disk) the PC would do these as a first option. However with the amount of data being deleted and wrote to the disk every second the PC is on, it is no wonder that the data cannot be stored together. Example : Say you write 3 files to a disk all 10 mb in size the data would all be in a line each 10mb after the other. But now lets say that you decide to delete the middle file as its no longer any use to you. You now have a gap inbetween your files. Lets say this time you write a file of 15mb in size. This file will be written in the first 10Mb of space and the remaining 5Mb added to the backend of the free space. As you can imagine with the millions of files being written to and deleted from the disk each day so defragging the disk helps to keep all the data in easy readable format.
Best software to use for Defragging - Uniblue DiskRescue 2009

Spend 150 mins a day and drive 1000 daily views to your blog
Posted by SoMeOnE at 8:53 AM Labels: Blogging, PageRank, SEO, TipsFirst of all I would say im not an expert, I just share my idea and this would work 100% sure. Many of us who wants to learn and share knowledge and who have just started blogging seriously can't grow their blog initially more than 100 page views. I was one among them last month. but sudden changes happens in life often. Only you need to put hardwork and patience. You're on your way to Success! :-)
Till last month my blog was getting less than 100 page views, but now it has grown up little to 500 views. So thought of sharing the process of 150 minutes which i spend daily. There is a saying " Rome wasn't built in a day " so you can't achieve 1000 views in a day. Spend 150 mins daily for atleast one month, you can gradually see the difference in your blog. Here is a simple strategy that will certainly increase your blog traffic and make you break the 1,000 daily page views. You need to follow just Four steps which is said below :
* First Step : (One hour)
Spend One hour on researching and writing killer articles. Be sure that you post one killer article every week or once every 15 days. If your not familiar with the term killer article " its nothing but a huge long article which does research on something like this - example : Top List of PDF Readers and Tools, Top 15 Tools for Twitter, 10 Top Right Click Tools For Windows, and You can see more killer articles on web designers blog like 100 free resources. " these are called killer articles. It gives a giant list of resources , detailed tutorial on how to do things. Mainly it should make visitors to bookmark and comment on it !. Killer articles take minimum of 5 to 10 hours of work, so spend one hour daily on the same piece of work. Result of these killer articles helps you to promote your blog and bring new readers aboard.
* Second Step : (30 minutes)
Next 30 mins spend for connecting with people. The 30 minutes which u spend should be divided into two parts -
# Commenting on other blogs in your niche (you ll gain backlinks and your Pagerank will increase).
# Spending time with your blogger friends via twitter, email or IM. Don't be rude to them because they are your readers and build genuine relationships. Result is you ll learn more knowledge by interacting with them about same niche.
* Third Step : (30 minutes)
Next 30 mins is Promotion of your posts. Once you have published the killer articles promote it. Promotion in the sense, letting bloggers and webmasters know about the post, getting some friends to submit the article to Facebook, Propeller, Digg, Reddit , Twitter , Social bookmarking sites and post the article in online forums or newsgroups.
* Fourth Step : (30 minutes)
Not only killer articles will fetch you traffic, Normal post which you publish in your blog daily is more important. Post atleast one article everyday. Make it as a habit. (Tip : Surely everyone will check Emails daily.. so why dont you post an article after checking all your mails ?? )simple idea - publish a killer article every friday and Normal post from saturday to thrusday and keep your readers engaged :-))
Note : I follow all these steps daily. When ever i publish some article in my blog. I digg it and tweet. Some people asked me from where you pick all the topics. I just go to Online forums- help desk and Yahoo questions and answers, I help them and If i like their questions, i make a topic in my blog. so simple right ?
Make sure that you execute all the four steps as planned and If you have more time available you can expand the time spent on each of the four steps proportionally.
